At Country Trails, we offer English, Western, and Dressage lessons for beginner to intermediate riders on our seasoned herd of school horses. Students will spend learn to ride and care for their mount in a non-competitive, community atmosphere. We are not a high-pressure show barn. Our aim is that every student improves at his or her own individual pace, and that together, we all can gain greater respect and appreciation for our horses.
We teach toward your goals, not ours, be it wanting to gain poise and self-confidence on horseback, preparing for a horse vacation or dude ranch, taking the first steps to owning your own horse, looking for a healthy outdoors activity, or simply wanting to learn how to communicate with a horse for maximum enjoyment and performance. Students are encouraged to try different riding styles to find the one that “fits” them. Lessons are informative, interactive, and fun! Time permitting, students practice patterns, play games learn dressage tests, try balancing and gymnastic activities, take quizzes and maneuver through obstacle courses at the end of class.
